  How can the devs not be able to reproduce? RTX 3080, 32GB RAM, NVME, Ryzen 5800X and 1440p and the game stutters like hell.

  I really hope they fix this soon, the game is genuinely uplayable in this state. Its strange because the stuttering isnt linked to graphics for me, its stutters just as much at high settings as low.

  As far as I see, it is the same problem that should have been solved by the last patch. It still exists. The DX12 fix by changing the exploit protection improved the fps drops for me but in fights it still exists.

  Its unbelievable that this problem is marked as "unable to reproduce" and yet is the most important problem the game has since even before EA. There is no point on adding DX12 or whatever, devs are aware of the problem, they just dont have it as priority. Why should they if everybody buys the game as it is lol.

  Yeah its really silly, idk if the new update fixed it as i have not tried yet but it happens so iften, especially on co op that it makes you wonder if the devs actually even tried to reproduce the bug.
  I would consider it gamebreaking as it makes the game near enough unplayable when it happens.
  
  Ive found that, for some reason, unplugging and replugging your headset fixes it but it doesnt stop it from happening again.
  
  I just find it hard to believe this is somehow a bug, it seems to happen more because if the weather/environment, e.g. it happens a lot in the snow.

  I'm just posting this here because it worked for me and it might help people with the same issues.
  
  I was trying this game on Game Pass PC for a while and even though I was enjoying it a lot, the weird drops in FPS and stutters that I was experiencing were ruining it for me.
  
  Nothing really worked to solve the inconsistent FPS and stutter issues until I tried disabling the HDR options on Windows. Worked like magic (don't ask me why though).
  
  Anyway I just hope it works for you guys and good gaming for everyone!
  
  Just in case here are my PC specs as well:
  
  - Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  - GeForce RTX 4070 TI
  - 32GB DDR5 RAM
  - Windows 10
  - Resolution played in game: 4k

  The stuttering for me seems to be a sound issue, weirdly enough. Going by ShadowKai's comment this seems not too far off.
  
  Running separate music sources in the background has consistently caused this issue for me (youtube videos, music players etc.). Otherwise the game is running smooth, no hiccups whatsoever for me.

  This is indeed a major problem, I have an i9-10850k + RTX 3070 + 32GB 3200mhz CL14 , 1080p/WIndows 10, and no matter what refreshrate I select, graphics settings, or whatever FPS I tried capping to with Nvidia or RivaTuner, the dropped frames happen. It's extremely unpleasing and I simply cannot leave a positive review on the game with it constantly stuttering. When I come out of a battle in the snow, I get 1 fps while the loot table pops up. When hovering over the move ability there's a stutter before the blue tiles pop up. NPC turns drop frames regularly to the point they don't even animate for a full second. The game is just constantly hiccupping and I've tested it on multiple PC's. If this is marked "Unable to reproduce" then the devs simply don't care enough to fix the problem.
  
  I guess we shouldn't expect much optimization from a game that doesn't even have VRR Gsync/FreeSync support post 2020. Shame, won't be paying full price for another Shiro games product ever again TBH.

  I wasn't experiencing this until I left my game on pause for about 30 - 40 minutes. Upon unpausing this issue started up and continued to persist afterward. I will try loading other saves I have to see if this state is somehow isolated to this save.

  fun game, but very badly optimized, stuttering/lagging like every 2 seconds while traversing the map and only sometimes during combat. plz fix this and the game will great.

  The same problem started after the release of the new DLC, problems with virtual memory, the game completely occupies the memory, there were no such problems before, the new DLC broke the game (Sorry, but I'm from Russia and I'm writing through Google Translate.

  The game is still broken and unplayable. The game was playing fine before the new DLC, now it stutter non stop (every 30 seconds to a minute). I tried updating the graphic card drivers, checking the game files, deleting and reinstalling but nothing works. The new DLC broke the game.

  this is a bit old but has a lot of votes so here is my two cents worth. this seems to be a GFX card or software issue. I run 2 screens and see this stutter from time to time depending on the load I have on the card at the time. its more prevalent when I have a movie streaming on the other screen. if the other screen is idle there is no studder at all.

  I think the stuttering may be due to FPS drop. When I exit out of combat, my FPS drops down to 1 and takes a few seconds to finally come back up. I didn't have this problem before this last content update.

  Just purchased the game on sale, and I run into this stuttering across many different areas of the game. Most of the time it happens when opening an overlay screen on the overworld map. It's super annoying, and I end up having to alt-F4 out of the game to start it up again to enjoy another 10-15 minutes of non-stutter gameplay.

  I got the same problem. Im playing on the steamdeck and my last safe worked like a charm until i purchased the tavern. From then on the game started to stutter. Restarting the game just fixes the problem for like 10 to 15 minutes

  The lagging was getting bigger and bigger since the Skelmar dlc, with this beast hunt one its nearly unplayable for me . 1fps on the map... no fun anymore

  just bought this in the sale and every hour or so fps completely plummets. I play on Steam Deck and it said the game was fully verified? Also seems like this has been a persistent problem for years. Have i been scammed here?

  When testing the game, I found a problem with the game freezing to 0 FPS, since the game loads only one processor core, the rest of the cores are loaded at 0%.

  When I launch the game the black screen hangs for an inappropriately long time, If I click the mouse, the game freezes and closes. Everyone's reporting stuttering on the map and in minigames. My game stutters when I switch between tabs in the settings. If I click the mouse a couple of times while it's freezing, the game simply closes.
  I tried disabling the Steam overlay, enabling OpenGL, and running the game in Steam offline mode, but nothing worked.
  The game is on an SSD, and my computer's specs are within the recommended limits.
  Windows 10, Ryzen 7 5700x, RX 6650 XT, 32 Gb RAM.
  The game is unplayable.

  For me, it's often specific events that stutter the first time they happen. One example is the killing blow animations. The game will hang for about a second as if it suddenly had to load a large amount of data that was not cached in advance.

  it was rare, but after I bought the last DLC "The curse of Rigel" the map is lagging too much
  it becomes difficult to play with all this new lagging :")

  с выходом новго длс "The curse of Rigel" игра стала заикать в меню на крте в бою абсолютно везде. Переустановил игру, драйвера, проверил целостность файлов ничего не помагает.

  С выходом DLC играть просто невозможно, игра стоит на ssd комп выше требований в два раза, лаги, тормоза, статтеры,я уже привык к утечки памяти с самого запуска игры( что то же немного напрягает, сколько лет игре а как течет память и вылет с fatal error так и осталось). Ребят терпение на исходе уже нет сил терпеть ваш кривой код, жду исправлений иначе буду писать в стим на возврат средств( уверен в каком состоянии сейчас игра, стим без проблем вернет деньги) пора уже наказывать за халатность рублем
  P.S данное сообщение не несет никакого гневного и агрессивного подтекста.

  game stuttering is also a problem of mine but is fixed by closing the game entirely and reopening. happens when playing for about 15-20 mins and gradually gets worse till the game no longer can run.
